Yes, The Trade Scouter is currently free to use. We offer trade analysis and generation tools for all users without any charges or subscriptions. As we grow and add more features, we may introduce premium options in the future, but we're committed to always maintaining a useful free tier.
Our trade data and player values come from multiple trusted sources including Fantasy Calc, Keep Trade Cut (KTC), and Dynasty Daddy. These platforms collectively analyze millions of real fantasy football trades across various platforms to establish accurate market values. By pulling data from multiple sources, we can provide more comprehensive and balanced trade recommendations that reflect real-world fantasy football trading patterns and values.
League Support
The Trade Scouter supports both dynasty and redraft fantasy football leagues. We have data for standard, half-PPR, and full-PPR scoring formats, and we're continuously expanding our support for different league types and scoring systems.
The Trade Scouter currently supports Sleeper leagues only. Simply connect your Sleeper account, and we'll automatically import your league information and team rosters. We plan to add support for other platforms like ESPN, Yahoo, and NFL.com in the future.
Yes, league size can affect player values and trade dynamics. We take this into account in our trade analysis, adjusting values based on league size. When you connect your Sleeper league, we automatically detect your league size to provide more accurate recommendations tailored to your specific league.
Yes, we fully support Superflex leagues. Our player values and trade recommendations adjust accordingly to reflect the higher value of quarterbacks in Superflex formats. When you connect your Sleeper league, we automatically detect if it's a Superflex league and adjust values accordingly.
Data & Values
Our trade data and player valuations are updated daily to reflect the latest player news, injuries, and trends in trading activity. This ensures you always have access to the most current and accurate information when analyzing or proposing trades.
Player injuries are factored into our valuation model based on real-time trade data. When players get injured, their trade values in the market naturally adjust, and our system captures these changes by analyzing recent trades. This market-based approach ensures values accurately reflect the fantasy community's current assessment of injured players.
Rookie values are determined by analyzing actual trades involving those players in real fantasy leagues. This means rookie values reflect the consensus opinion of thousands of fantasy managers, providing a more accurate representation of their market value than individual analyst opinions. As the season progresses, these values will adjust based on performance and changing perceptions.
Player values are calculated by aggregating data from multiple sources including Fantasy Calc, Keep Trade Cut, and Dynasty Daddy. Each of these platforms uses proprietary algorithms that analyze millions of real trades and/or community consensus rankings. Rather than relying on a single source or subjective analyst opinions, our values are derived from what fantasy managers are actually trading across multiple platforms. This approach accounts for market trends, positional scarcity, and league settings, creating a balanced view of player values that makes it easy to compare players across positions.
Crowd-sourced rankings, like those from Keep Trade Cut, capture the "wisdom of the crowd" by collecting valuations from thousands of fantasy players. While expert rankings can be useful, they often reflect one person's opinion and may be updated infrequently. Crowd-sourced values provide a more balanced perspective and respond more quickly to news, injuries, and performance trends since they aggregate the opinions of many fantasy managers who are actively making decisions in their own leagues. This approach helps eliminate individual biases and results in more accurate and up-to-date valuations.
Features & Tools
The Trade Analyzer allows you to evaluate potential trades by entering the players involved on each side. It provides a comprehensive analysis including trade value comparison, player projections, and strength information to help you determine if a trade is beneficial for your team.
The Trade Generator identifies potentially beneficial trades by analyzing your team needs and the rosters of other teams in your league. It looks for complementary team needs and surplus positions to suggest trades that could improve both teams, making them more likely to be accepted.
By connecting your Sleeper league, we can automatically analyze all teams and find the best possible trade matches. What makes our Trade Generator especially powerful is the extensive customization options:
- •Position Targeting: Specify which positions you want to acquire (QB, RB, WR, TE) and which positions you're willing to trade away. Draft picks are currently not supported due to the Sleeper API's limitations.
- •Draft Pick Options: Include or exclude draft picks in your trade scenarios, with the ability to target specific rounds
- •Trade Complexity: Set the maximum number of assets you want to trade away and receive (e.g., 2-for-1, 3-for-2 trades)
- •Team Filtering: Focus on potential trades with specific teams in your league
- •Player-Specific Targeting: Identify particular players you want to acquire or are willing to trade away
- •Value Settings: Adjust how aggressive you want trade offers to be in terms of value difference
These customization options allow you to tailor the trade generation process to match your specific team needs, league dynamics, and trade preferences, rather than just suggesting generic value-based trades.
The Trade Scouter uses a sophisticated algorithm to optimize trades that meet your specified criteria while maximizing value. Our approach includes:
- •Positional Needs Analysis: We examine your roster construction to identify positions of strength and weakness, then find trade partners with complementary needs
- •Value-Based Trading: By aggregating player values from multiple sources (Fantasy Calc, KTC, Dynasty Daddy), we can suggest trades that improve your team's overall value
- •Strategy-Based Optimization: Different weightings are applied to current production vs. future potential based on your selected strategy (win now vs. rebuild)
- •Multi-Asset Combinations: Our algorithm explores thousands of possible player combinations to find trades that satisfy all specified constraints while optimizing overall value
- •League Context Awareness: The system considers factors like league settings, lineup requirements, and the competitive landscape when suggesting trades
The goal is to find trades that not only improve your team but are also reasonable offers that have a realistic chance of being accepted by your league mates.
Currently, we support trades between two teams only. Multi-team trades are much less common in fantasy football, but we may add support for analyzing these more complex scenarios in the future based on user feedback and demand.
